Track Stars Take Turn As Coaches

Two former Valley track stars are serving as volunteer coaches this year for the Spokane Valley Track Club.

Aimee Aldendorf, a standout thrower at West Valley High and North Idaho College, will specialize in the weight events.

Katharine Hough, a four-time state qualifier from University High who placed third in the 100 in the Big West championships while at Idaho, will help the sprinters.

Spokane Valley Track Club is conducting workouts Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at University High School.

It is not too late to sign up. Call 891-8866 for information.
