Atms To Take On New Roles

Now that ATMs are nearly as common as fast-food outlets, a company best known for its mutual fund family is rolling out new machines with increased capabilities.

The machines developed for Fidelity Investments enable customers to deposit endorsed checks and receive a receipt with a little picture of the check they deposited.

Fidelity expects that the machines eventually will handle a variety of financial chores.

Now it seems that communications devices other than computers aren’t immune from such attacks. Now, wireless phones are being targeted.
