Boeing Co. will eliminate up to 900 jobs from its Delta rocket and C-17 military transport programs in Huntington Beach, Calif., and transfer the work to plants in Colorado and Alabama, the company announced Monday. The move is part of a consolidation of manufacturing operations.

Walgreen Co., the nation’s largest drug store chain, on Monday reported a 21.5 percent increase in quarterly earnings due to a sharp increase in prescription sales.
