Police Raid Meth Lab Looking For Fugitive

Police raided a methamphetamine lab Tuesday afternoon looking for a fugitive believed to be armed and dangerous.

Idaho State Police and the Kootenai County Drug Task Force raided the former home of David Morgan Sr., 2235 E. Brunner Road.

Morgan, who allegedly led Kootenai County deputies on an hour-long chase Saturday night and opened fire on Bonner County deputies, was not there, said Capt. Ben Wolfinger, with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Morgan is believed to be involved in the manufacture and use of the illegal stimulant. A 1st District judge has issued a $1million warrant for Morgan’s arrest.

Anyone with information about Morgan’s location is asked to call Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department at (208) 664-1511 or Bonner County Sheriff’s Department at (208) 263-8417.
