Prugh 3 Strokes Behind
Hillary Prugh, representing Spokane’s Manito Golf and Country Club, fired a 2-over-par 73 and finds herself three strokes behind the leader at the 54-hole Washington State Golf Association Women’s Amateur Championship at Alderbrook GC in Union. Prugh two-day total was 147.
First-round leader Michelle Grafos carded an 8-over-par 79 after firing 71 Tuesday for a two-day score of 150.
Lani Elston was three strokes off the pace and David Fern six behind to lead a group of Spokane golfers after the second round of the AJGA Ping Langdon Farms Junior Classic golf tournament at Arrowhead Golf Club in Aurora, Ore.
Elston shot a 75 in the girls division for a two-day total of 150. Sarah Bassett’s 77 and 83 gave her a two-day total of 160.
David Fern followed Tuesday’s 72 with a 1-under-par 70 for a two-day total of 142. After firing 71 Tuesday, Ryan Camp shot 75 Wednesday and is 10 strokes behind Reid Rader of Kenmore, Wash., who shot 69 and 67 for 136. The girls’ leader is Paige Mackenzie of Yakima with 147.
