Boeing Faces Lawsuit Alleging Discrimination

From Staff

Twenty-eight women who are former or current employees of The Boeing Co. have sued for gender discrimination, alleging their employer denied them and other women equal pay and advancement opportunities.

The lawsuit seeks class action status for as many as 30,000 former and current employees nationwide. The suit did not mention damages. The 28 plaintiffs come from Boeing facilities in Washington, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Boeing spokeswoman Amanda Landers said the company is reviewing the lawsuit and has also begun reviewing each individual claim. She said that some of the women who sued had complained to the company, but Boeing, after a review, dismissed the claims as groundless.
