Foundation Awards Grant To Project Joy

The Project Joy Senior Entertainers program has received a $4,500 grant from Foundation Northwest, a local community organization.

The money will go for new equipment, musical scores, costumes, supplies and office expenses for the organization.

Through its senior volunteers, Project Joy provides entertainment at care centers, assisted-living facilities, hospitals and special events.

More than 500 performances are sponsored annually by Project Joy, which has 250 members.

Foundation Northwest provides support for local arts and cultural programs, and the grant is the first donation by Foundation Northwest to Project Joy.
