Rogers Chooses Lilac Princess

The third of 13 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Wednesday night.

Maliaka Schneider, 18, a Rogers High School senior, will represent her school. Maliaka is the daughter of Tamara and Dustin Schneider.

Schneider has been a volunteer for the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery and a People to People student ambassador to Australia.

She is a varsity cheerleader and Chase Youth Commission recipient. She is the recipient of The Shack/John R. Rogers Alumni Scholarship worth $1,000. Schneider plans to attend Florida State University in the fall.

The next princess selection will be Monday at Northwest Christian in Colbert.
