* Know a great teacher? Then nominate him or her for the Our Generation Best Teachers award. What sets this award apart from others is that only students may nominate a teacher and all of the judges are students.

Junior and senior high school students may nominate in a one-page letter the best teacher they’ve had. The definition of “teacher” may include just about anyone from a classroom instructor to a counselor to a coach or adult mentor.

Your letter should clearly describe the teacher’s creativity and innovative teaching style, sense of humor and how he or she shows respect for students and concern for students outside of the classroom. Nominations should be as specific as possible. Please include your full name, address, phone number, school and grade as well as the teacher’s full name, school and class he or she teaches.

Send your nominations to Our Generation/Best Teachers at the address, fax or e-mail at the bottom of the page. Nominations must be received by May 5.
