Two Men Arrested At Suspected Meth Lab

Two men were arrested Tuesday morning after detectives raided a suspected methamphetamine lab in Deer Park.

William G. Wood, 37, and Mark A. Boynton, 38, were arrested on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

After receiving information about a meth operation, Deputy Cliff Custer and detectives discovered a working lab at 417 N. North in Deer Park, Sheriff’s Spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said. Detectives sealed off the house until the Washington State Patrol incidence response team could decontaminate the area.

Because the lab was active, investigators said they did not know how much meth was in the house. Wood’s wife and children will not be allowed to return to the house until decontamination is complete, probably this morning, Reagan said.

The lab is the sixth meth operation raided in March, Reagan said. The Investigative Support Unit only uncovered 12 labs in all of 1999.
