Special Traffic Force On Area Roads Tonight

You can rely on the luck of the Irish tonight, or you can just drive safely.

A multijurisdictional special traffic patrol will be in effect today after 7 p.m. The Spokane Police, the Spokane Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, the Medical Lake Police and the Spokane County Traffic Safety Commission all are participating.

The patrol is designed to reduce the number and severity of traffic collisions and show a clear law enforcement presence during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The emphasis will be on I-90 and 15 blocks on either side.
