The Central Valley School Board has not decided the fate of the four-period day at Central Valley and University high schools. An inaccurate headline in Thursday’s Valley Voice stated otherwise.
Staff and officials presented the school board on Monday with pros and cons of the schedule, and asked the board to leave in place the four-period day, now in the third year of a three-year trial at the two schools.
But before deciding, the board will also hear the results of surveys asking parents and students for feedback on the block schedule. That should occur at the March 27 board meeting. On April 10, the board is expected to discuss the issue. A final decision may come at that meeting or a future one.
