Tax Mobile Makes Its Return

The Internal Revenue Service Tax Mobile returns to Eastern Washington next week. Actually, it returns times two.

One specially outfitted recreational vehicle manned by two IRS agents stops first at City Hall in Newport on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hours both days start at 8 a.m., but continue to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and ending at noon Wednesday.

The same hours apply at the next two stops. On Thursday and Friday the Tax Mobile will be at the Safeway in Colville. Saturday and Monday, the agents will be at the U.S. Post Office in Republic.

The Tax Mobile will be in Omak Tuesday through Thursday, March 28-30. Tuesday hours start at noon, the next two days at 8 a.m. Hours end at 4:30 p.m. all three days.

The second starts its circuit in Walla Walla Tuesday. The vehicle will be in the Safeway parking lot at 1600 Plaza Way for three days, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The next stop is Clarkston, starting Friday at noon and running until 4:30 p.m. that day. Saturday hours run from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The location is the Albertson’s Gateway Center.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 28 and 29, the Tax Mobile will be at the Safeway in Pullman. Hours the first day are noon to 4:30 p.m., 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the second day.

Friday and Saturday, look for the rig in Davenport at the Safeway, starting at 8 a.m. Friday hours end at 4:30 p.m., Saturday’s at noon.

On Tuesday, April 4, the agents will be at the Coast to Coast Hardware store in Ritzville. For the next three days, hours will start at 8 a.m. Hours end Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Thursday they roll out of town at 11 a.m.

The last stop in the area is Moses Lake at the Wal-Mart. Friday and Saturday hours start at 8 a.m. Closure Friday is 4:30 p.m., Saturday is noon.

The agents distribute forms, answer questions and help fill out returns. Last year, the teams helped thousands of Northwest residents.

Problem Solving Day March 29

The IRS holds a second Problem Solving Day in Spokane March 29.

Taxpayers troubled by past-due returns, missing refunds, unpaid tax bills or other woes can sort them out with agents from all departments between 10 .am. and 6 p.m. at the IRS Office in the U.S. Courthouse, 920 W. Riverside.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling (509) 353-2845. but walk-ins are also welcome. Bring along your records and any IRS correspondence.
