Silver Eagle Bus Line Not Freight Company

Silver Eagle Charters is unrelated to a freight company with the same name that ceased operations last week, office manager Jennifer Achziger said Tuesday.

She said calls to the charter bus company dropped dramatically following reports that Silver Eagle Trucking Co. closed last Thursday.

`We started getting calls Friday morning,” she said, mostly from customers of the trucking company concerned about freight.

On Monday and Tuesday, normally the busiest days of the week for bookings, incoming calls dwindled to a handful, she said.

Silver Eagle Trucking is based in Portland. Achziger said the bus line operates only out of Spokane under separate ownership - J&P Bell Industries.

The company has 17 buses.

“We’re in no way associated with Silver Eagle freight,” Achziger said.
