Cal State Fullerton Latest To Consider Aggers

Eastern Washington basketball coach Steve Aggers was in southern California on Wednesday, paying a home visit to a potential recruit amid reports that he’s a candidate for two vacant head coaching positions.

Aggers said Wednesday he has been contacted by Cal State Fullerton regarding the job there. He’s also a finalist at Loyoyla Marymount.

Aggers was in Salt Lake City for a home visit on Tuesday.

“I’m flattered to be considered for those two coaching jobs,” he said, confirming his interest in them after five seasons at Eastern.

The Eagles on his watch have risen from the Big Sky Conference basement to co-champions.

“At this juncture, they (announcements) are on hold,” Aggers said. “Right now, I’m working like crazy (for Eastern), happy in what I’m doing.”
