New faces:
Recent additions to the Spokane office of Moss Adams LLP include:
Brynn McInturff joined the firm as a staff accountant in the Business Assurance Department. McInturff, who received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Washington University last June, will specialize in construction and manufacturing assurance services.
Shawna Rutherford was hired as a staff accountant in the Assurance Department. Her focus is on clients in financial institutions, construction and manufacturing. A graduate of Eastern Washington University, she previously worked for Bank of America in Spokane.
Ann Swanson was hired as a senior accountant and will work with nonprofit and health care industries. Swanson, who is a certified public accountant, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on accounting and finance from Washington State University. She transferred from the Moss Adams Seattle office, where she performed the same duties as a senior accountant.
David K. Daggett has joined the Spokane office of Preston Gates & Ellis LLP as an associate attorney in the field of technology and intellectual property. Daggett previously spent more than 10 years as a computer programmer, systems analyst and local area network engineer. He received a law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating first in his class.
Jacklin Seed/Simplot Turf and Horticulture has hired Larry Perotti as technical service manager. Perotti fields questions from Jacklin Seed customers on topics such as grass species and variety selection and growth characteristics. He also provides backup technical and sales services for JacklinGolf’s three outside sales representatives. He previously was a branch manager and sales representative for Sharp Brothers Seed Co. in Greeley, Colo. He also served as nutrient systems manager for L.L. Johnson Distributing. Perotti received a master’s degree in plant pathology from Colorado State University.
Gov. Gary Locke has appointed Carol Landa-McVicker to serve as a trustee of Community Colleges of Spokane. Her term runs through September 2003. Landa-McVicker, a long-time civic activist and human resource analyst with Spokane County, replaces Roberta Greene, who recently retired from the board after serving nine years. Landa-McVicker, who received a master’s degree in education from the University of Washington, began her career with Spokane County as a staff assistant to then-commissioner Pat Mummey. She later joined Spokane County Public Works as assistant to the director, then held a couple of jobs at Spokane County Human Resources before moving into her current position as human resource analyst.

The following employees of Great Clips have been promoted:
Christy Haney was named manager of the new Great Clips hair salon at Silver Lake Plaza in Coeur d’Alene. She has been a stylist for 16 years and has been with Great Clips four years.
Jennifer Pierce was named manager of the new Great Clips hair salon at 13th and Grand. A stylist for about eight years, she received her training at the Spokane Skills Center, and joined Great Clips about two years ago.
Michele West and Nicole Black have been named co-managers of the new Great Clips hair salon which opened Feb. 22 at Latah Creek on Spokane-Cheney Road. West, who has been with Great Clips for two years, has been a stylist for 15 years. Black has been a stylist for 3 years and with Great Clips for one year.
Starting up:
Lynnelle Caudill, Kelli Groves and Susan Hare have formed HR OptionZ, an executive search and recruiting firm for the hospitality industry. All three share the title of managing partner. Caudill is a former corporate human resource director for Seattle-based R.C. Hedreen Co. A graduate of Washington State University’s Hotel and Restaurant Administration program, she has more than 12 years of experience in human resources management and organizational development. Groves, who earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational and mass communications from Eastern Washington University, has more than 10 years of experience in human resources and training and development. Hare received a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration from Washington State University. She has experience in the fields of finance and restaurant management.
New identity:
Mutual Travel has changed its name to Navigant International/ Northwest and is moving its Spokane office from the street level to the skywalk level of the Washington Mutual Bank Building, 601 W. Main. The new office will open April 2. Mutual Travel has been part of Navigant International since 1998. The chain includes 550 offices in the United States and Canada, as well as a Pan-European reservations center in London. Linda Martin manages the local office.
