Speea Workers Can Get Aid
While the strike involving Boeing Co.’s technical workers and engineers has ended, the financial hardship hasn’t.
To help the employees who joined in the 40-day strike, including about 50 in Spokane, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace union is still offering need-based financial support from its strike fund. Though the workers are back on the job, they won’t get their first paychecks until March 30. And their first full paychecks will come two weeks later.
The strike against Boeing, which ended March 19, was the largest white-collar strike in U.S. history.
