Girls - Chrysa Hise, junior, triple jump; Stephanie Lavigne, jr., hurdles/relays; Meghann Edmunds, soph., sprints; Kathryn Reynolds, soph., sprints/ relays; Ashley Heinig, soph., relays/sprints.

Top newcomers: Tony Caron, jr., sprints/long jump; Matt Edmunds, sr., shot put; Andy Jones, sr., distances; Jason Shaw, soph., sprints/relays. Girls - none identified.

Outlook: Penney and Zanetti return off state title 400 relay. Each will anchor a pair of relays and contend for individual state medals.

Lakeside Knights

Coach: Brad Veille

Turnout: 1, Leonard Johnson, junior, middle distances.

Outlook: Veille sent around a preseason signup list and more than 30 indicated they would be turning out. Two showed up and one of them was declared academically ineligible. Veille is also coaching the junior high team and six eighth-graders who turned out. Veille cites an after-school drivers education program and burnout for the poor turnout.
