Man Found Dead In Downtown Doorway

Spokane police found a 39-year-old man dead in the doorway of Outback Jack’s downtown about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police Sgt. Jerry Frye would not release the man’s name. He said “there appears to be no outward evidence of foul play” and that toxicology tests are pending.

A construction worker in the area said he saw the man alive about an hour before police arrived. An officer at the scene said alcohol appears to have been involved.
