Weather
Mostly sunny skies are forecast for this morning, with some clouds moving in for the afternoon. A high of 61 is expected.
Start times
Competitive wheelchair racers start at 8:40 a.m. Elite female runners begin at 8:45 a.m. Corporate Cup and second seed entrants start at 9 a.m. Yellow and green groups also start at 9 a.m. Orange and blue groups start at 9:10 a.m. followed by lilac and red groups at 9:20. Strollers, baby joggers and assisted wheelchairs also start at 9:20 a.m.
Worship
Service at 7:30 a.m. at the Lilac Bowl in Riverfront Park.
Registration
Registration is closed. Out-of-town registered participants can check in Sunday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. at the Ag Trade Center.
Bus service
Regular Sunday service inbound will begin one hour earlier on all routes except No. 65 Cheney/EWU. Regular fares apply on regular service. The Bloomsday Express will run from 6:30-7:45 a.m. from these sites only:
Spokane Valley - Spokane Valley Mall
North - NorthTown Mall, east side parking garage; catch buses on Lidgerwood, north of Wellesley
South - Ferris High School parking lot
Cheney - EWU Red Barn parking lot
Arrive early to ensure on-time arrival at the starting area.
After the race, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., return to the Browne and Main area to catch the Bloomsday Express back to your lot.
The cost for the special service is $1 each way, or $1 round-trip with a Bloomsday Stick-On Pass.

Bike corral
Bloomsday participants can drop off their bikes at a secure, fenced area in Riverfront Park’s central meadow, south of the IMAX Theater and across the walkway from the YMCA. Spokane Bicycle Club members will watch the bikes during the race to make sure they aren’t stolen or vandalized. The corral is open from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Riders are encouraged to bring a lock for their bike.
Parking and traffic
For those who plan on driving to Bloomsday, officials recommend carpooling and arriving early. Parking will be available in the Spokane Arena lots, under the freeway and along side streets away from the course.
The River Park Square lot will open at 5 a.m. for parking. The cost is $2 all day.
There will be no parking on Riverside, Main, Sprague, Spokane Falls Boulevard, Monroe, Broadway or any other streets that are part of the course.
The downtown area will be closed to traffic at 6:30 a.m., and cars will be towed from the area after that. Broadway, near the courthouse, closes to traffic at 5:30 a.m.
Lost and found
The lost and found - for children, not clothes - will be at the County Health Building, one block south of the finish area.
Results
Race results will be printed in The Spokesman-Review in a special “Bloomsday Extra” edition available starting Monday afternoon around Spokane. Results will also be posted online at www.spokane.net as soon as they are made available from Bloomsday officials.
