Bach Concert At Lourdes

Musicians at the downtown Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes will celebrate the 250th anniversary of J.S. Bach’s death with a special concert at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Cathedral Choir and the Cathedral Chamber Ensemble will join together to perform several selections, including “Miserecordias Domini,” “Jauchzet Gott in all Landen” and “Jesu, meine Freude.”

The concert is free, and all are welcome. The cathedral is located at 1115 W. Riverside.

Silent auction Sunday

Bethany Presbyterian Church, 301 S. Freya, will host a silent auction Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit neighborhood outreach programs.

Parking lot sale Saturday

The youth of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church will host a parking lot sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help pay for a summer mission trip to Mexico.

The church is located at 4102 S. Crestline.
