Resume: Republican, age 47 … Post Falls mayor and currently works as shipping and receiving coordinator for Plastic Model Engineering Inc. in Post Falls … served two years on Post Falls City Council … Johnson was locked out last November from Kaiser Aluminum after 25 years … graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School … lifetime resident of Kootenai County … married to Sandie, four children.

Why running: “I’ve had a great term here in Post Falls and I want to use my experience on the county commission.

We have a tradition of mayors from Post Falls who went to become county commissioner. I want to continue that.”

Issues: Use existing and new tax money to fund projects like the jail expansion over time … need to plan for growth on the Rathdrum Prairie … voters need experienced leader.
