Antiques Stolen From Hall At WSU
Washington State University police are investigating the theft of nearly $5,000 in property from White Hall.
Many of the items are antiques belonging to the WSU Apparel, Merchandising and Interior Design Department.
The property includes a 40-year-old teakwood table, two antique oak desks, an antique coffee grinder, an industrial grade sewing machine, a VCR and several other items. Police believe the thefts occurred between May 9 and May 15, when the department was in the process of moving to another building. Police do not believe the rooms were forcibly entered.
One of the more valuable items is a collapsible or folding table with two square sections that are 40-48 inches in length. Each section can stand alone or be attached to create a larger table. The uniquely designed table has an estimated value of $2,000.
Anyone with information or requesting more specific descriptions of the items is asked to contact detective Don Maupin at (509) 335-6206. Anonymous information will be accepted. Refer to case number 00-W1483.
