Two Arrested Earlier May Face More Charges
Two men arrested early this week might face additional drug charges after two apparent drug labs were found in storage units they leased.
The suspects were arrested Monday after deputies found medicine containing ephedrine, an ingredient used to make methamphetamine, in their car.
Quintin L. Beck, 34, 3507 E. Marietta, and James Patrick George, 34, 12111 E. Main, were charged with possession of ephedrine with the intent to manufacture meth, a felony.
George, who is a suspect in an alleged meth lab discovered last Saturday in the apartment on Main Avenue where he lived, was also charged Monday with felony drug possession.
On Tuesday, the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force served a search warrant at two storage units leased by the suspects at ABC Mini-Storage, 11506 E. Indiana.
Inside the units they found chemicals used to make meth, task force director Lt. Chan Bailey said.
Three members of the Washington State Patrol’s special incident response team - in town to clean up another lab - spent five hours Wednesday carting chemicals from the storage units.
There is evidence the storage units were used to cook meth, Bailey said.
Bailey said he expects that if lab results indicate that meth was manufactured in the units, more charges could be filed next week.
