Two months after taking over, Itron’s Chief Executive Officer, LeRoy Nosbaum, announced two additions Thursday to the Spokane company’s management team.

Tim Gelvin will become Itron’s vice president and general manager, international division.

Bob Whitney has been promoted to vice president in charge of manufacturing.

Gelvin has more than 23 years’ experience in energy industry management, marketing, operations, customer service and strategic development, said Nosbaum, who became Itron CEO in March.

Whitney has 18 years of experience in radio equipment manufacturing. He joined Itron in 1992 as part of Itron’s acquisition of EnScan, then the world’s leading manufacturer of radio meter modules. He was named director of manufacturing for Itron’s Minnesota operations in 1994 and assumed director responsibilities for the company’s manufacturing unit in late 1999. Itron manufactures meters and measurement systems used by water and electric utilities and others.
