Shadow Play Road Matches With Willamette Valley, Yakima

The Spokane Shadow hits the road for two Northwest Division matches this week- end.

They play at Willamette Valley tonight, then at Yakima on Saturday.

The Shadow (0-0-2 NW Division) are looking for their first division victory. Spokane defeated Willamette Valley 3-1 in its home opener May 13 but it didn’t count in the division standings. The Shadow tied Yakima 2-2 on Saturday at Albi Stadium and missed earning a U.S. Open Cup berth.

Forward Zane Higgins leads the team with four goals this season despite missing the first two matches. He has played only 183 minutes and is two goals shy of becoming the Shadow’s all-time leading scorer by breaking Dave Berto’s record of 30.
