Comments Wanted On Storm-Water Rules

Spokane County officials are rewriting their guidelines for managing storm-water runoff, and they want public comment on the new rules.

The guidelines will regulate storm-water management plans for new developments and revamped developments in the unincorporated areas of the county.

Public works employees are holding an open house today to discuss the new regulations and gather comments.

The event will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Spokane Regional Health District building, 1101 W. College Ave.

Copies of the draft guidelines can be purchased at the Public Works Department at 1026 W. Broadway. A compact disc costs $5, a printed copy $27. The guidelines also can be downloaded for free from www.spokanecounty.org/pwadmin.
