Friday and Saturday at Mt. Spokane and Mead… . Participants are Mead, Lewis and Clark, Gonzaga Prep and Mt. Spokane of the Greater Spokane League, and Wenatchee, Eisenhower, Walla Walla and Kamiakin of the Big Nine… . At stake are four berths to state at the Arena… . Mead is the defending champion… . Ferris (three) and Mead (two) have won every title since the tourney began in 1995.

Regional 3A: Saturday at Cheney… . Participants are Cheney and Colville of the Frontier League, and Selah, West Valley (Yakima), Prosser and Hanford of the Mid-Valley…. At stake are two berths to state at St. Martin’s College in Lacey. … Selah is the defending champ.

District 7 2A: Saturday at East Valley… . Participants are Lakeside, Newport, Pullman, Medical Lake, Chewelah and Riverside… . At stake are two berths to state at Yakima’s Sundome… . Lakeside is the defending champ.

District 7 1A: Saturday at Mead … Participants are Colfax, Freeman, Kettle Falls, Liberty… . At stake are two berths to state at Central Washington University in Ellensburg… . Colfax is the defending champ.

District 7 B: Today and Saturday at Cheney High. … Participants are Davenport, Almira/Coulee-Hartline, Wilbur-Creston and Valley Christian of the Bi-County League, and Northwest Christian, St. George’s, Springdale and Republic of the Panorama League… . At stake are four berths to state at Eastern Washington University… . Davenport is the defending champ.

District 9 B: Thursday at Walla Walla Community College and Saturday at Pullman… . Participants are Garfield-Palouse, Tekoa-Oakesdale, Rosalia and LaCrosse-Washtucna of the Whitman County League, and Pomeroy, DeSales, Touchet and Liberty Christian of the Blue Mountain… . At stake are three berths to state at EWU… . St. John-Endicott, last year’s champ, later lost to Gar-Pal in the state-title match.
