The Danville TV Association is struggling to provide programming from Spokane after only five families paid dues last year. It costs roughly $210 to license and power the translator. Dues are $20 or less.
Grant County Moses Lake
The latest state crime statistics say criminal offenses in Moses Lake dropped 25.8 percent between 1999 and 2000.
Lincoln County Reardan
The school district has kicked off its campaign for a $2.7 million construction bond to renovate the elementary and junior high building, plus build a new cafeteria, multipurpose room and commons area between the elementary and high school buildings. The election will be in February 2001.
Pend Oreille County Usk
The state Department of Transportation has made major improvements to the Blueslide Tunnel. Flex-pipe was installed to carry water away from the rail tunnel and into a ditch alongside the track.
Spokane County Spokane
“Remembering Stuff,” a play by Eleanor Harder, is being performed by Lewis and Clark High School’s theater arts students today and Friday at 7 p.m. in the Avista Auditorium, 1411 E. Mission St. Cost is $5.

Whitman County Pullman
Community Health Care of the Palouse, a Moscow health clinic, opened a branch in town this week, bringing doctors Robert Spady and John Torquato to Pullman several days a week. The clinic is located in the Professional Mall, 1256 SE Bishop Blvd.

Benewah Community Hospital began accepting clients with Sterling Medical Select supplement insurance as of Wednesday.
Bonner County Sandpoint
The 48th annual Harvest Dinner includes a turkey feast, entertainment by the Old Time Fiddlers, door prizes, a carnival, a cakewalk and games. The Northside Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization will sponsor the dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the school. Tickets are $20 a family, $6 an adult and $4 a child.
Boundary County Bonners Ferry
The school district board of trustees would like two community members to help choose a new superintendent and serve on the Superintendent Interview Committee. Kootenai County Coeur d’Alene
A new program “Curb Aggression: Drive Friendly” emphasizes the importance of not speeding, tailgating, running stop signs or failing to yield, all which are signs of aggressive driving and are dangerous. The traffic safety program will be launched at 10:30 a.m. today at the Zip Trip Food Store, 1427 Best Ave. Indy car race driver, Davey Hamilton an Idaho native, is the spokesman for the ITD program.
Latah County Moscow
The Latah County Sheriff’s office is advising hunters to leave valuables at home while their vehicles are parked in the country. Four hunters recently have reported stolen items from their vehicles in the areas of Four Mile Road, Crane Creek Road and Gold Creek Road. Shoshone County Wallace
The St. Alphonsus Altar Society will have its annual soup and pie luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Parish Center in Wallace. Homemade noodle soup or bean and ham soup, bread, pie and a drink will be served for $3.50. Whole pies and takeout orders also will be sold.

Lincoln County Libby
The Libby Area Development Co. Inc. will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in the city council meeting room. The LADC is developing organizational procedures, including a mission statement, for determining how an $8 million federal grant will be used to benefit the area.
