CV Bear Boosters Hold Ham Dinner
The 41st annual ham dinner sponsored by the Central Valley Bear Booster Club will be held on Wednesday.
The event raises money for scholarships for seniors at Central Valley High School.
Running from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., the dinner traditionally includes ham and all the trimmings. Cost is $4 for senior citizens and children 6-12, $5 for adults and students, or $25 for families of five or more. Tickets are sold at the door.
The dinner is held in CV High’s multipurpose room.
Members of the CV High theater department will appear in costume for the upcoming performance of “Stuart Little.”
There’s an additional side to this event. The dinner has become a traditional outing for residents of the Good Samaritan Village. About 20 seniors will join the dinner this year.
“It’s one of their favorite events,” said Tamara Gordon, housing director at Good Sam.
