Wake Forest 28, Duke 26: At Winston-Salem, N.C., sophomore Tarence Williams rushed for a careerhigh 154 yards and scored on runs of 16, 5 and 72 yards - the first three touchdowns of his career - as the Demon Deacons (1-7, 1-5 ACC) defeated the Blue Devils (0-9, 0-6) in a battle of winless teams.
Tulane 41, Houston 23: Patrick Ramsey threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns as the Green Wave (4-5, 2-4 C-USA) snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the Cougars (3-6, 2-3) at New Orleans.

North Carolina 20, Pittsburgh 17: At Pittsburgh, Willie Parker scored a TD and set up another with a long catch and run as the Tar Heels (4-5) upset the Panthers (5-3) despite allowing 344 passing yards.
Air Force 41, Army 27: Linebacker Corey Nelson scored on a 68-yard interception return on the third play of the fourth quarter and David Adams kicked four field goals as the Falcons (6-3) defeated the Cadets (1-7) at West Point, N.Y.
Syracuse 31, WVirginia 27: R.J. Anderson, making his first start, threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Malik Campbell with 10 seconds left as the Orangemen (4-4, 2-2 Big East) defeated the Mountaineers (4-4, 2-3) at Morgantown, W. Va.
Boston College 31, Temple 3: William Green ran for 91 yards to help the Eagles (6-3, 2-3 Big East) defeat the Owls (4-5, 1-4) at Boston.
Iowa 26, Penn St. 23 (2OT): Nate Kaeding kicked a 26-yard field goal in the second overtime, then Ryan Hansen intercepted a pass to preserve the victory as the Hawkeyes (2-8, 2-4 Big Ten) defeated the Nittany Lions (4-6, 3-3) at State College, Pa.

Mississippi 38, Arkansas 24: Robert Williams returned a kickoff 97 yards, and Mississippi scored two TDs in 66 seconds early in the second quarter as the Rebels (6-2, 3-2 SEC) defeated the Razorbacks (4-4, 1-4) at Fayetteville, Ark.
