Birthday Celebrations

The Volunteers of America will celebrate a number of birthdays at an open house today at 3 p.m. at 525 W. Second.

The Alexandria House, a home for teen mothers and babies, will celebrate its 10th birthday.

Crosswalk, a shelter and school for street kids, will also celebrate a birthday.

Volunteers of America will celebrate its 104th year of providing emergency service to residents.

Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America is one of Spokane’s oldest and most diversified human service charities.

Other Volunteers of America programs include Inland Medicine Center, Breakthrough For Families, Apartments for Young Families and affordable housing for special populations.
