New faces:
Dennis S. Day has joined Action Mortgage Co. as vice president, residential production manager. He will oversee retail sales managers, retail officers, the Home Loan Center and the sales administration team and marketing. Day will be assigned to Action’s Bellevue office, where he will serve action’s four-state geographic lending area, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. He has more than 16 years of experience in residential lending. Day previously was regional sales manager-Northwest retail sales for Bank of America. Day received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies.
Dr. Elizabeth Hayes has joined Healthsouth Medical Clinics as a staff physician. She has been in practice in Spokane for three years, specializing in urgent care and general medical care.
Hayes graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Medicine in 1994. She has been board certified in family practice in Washington since 1997.
Raelene Vogelsang has been named planned giving director for Northwest Christian Schools Inc. Vogelsang earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has an extensive business background, most recently having written a comprehensive sales and referral tracking system for the banking industry.
Janet Davis has joined the staff of the Girls Scout Inland Empire Council as director of program and volunteer services. She coordinates recruitment plans for both girl members and adult volunteers, and oversees program activities. Davis previously was the program manager for the city of Spokane’s Office of Neighborhood Services, where she worked with nonprofit organizations. The Inland Empire Council serves more than 4,300 Girl Scouts in 18 Eastern Washington and North Idaho counties.
The Spokane office of U.S. Rep. George R. Nethercutt Jr. has hired Lacey Martin as district scheduling and outreach coordinator. She previously was a public affairs assistant with the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce. Martin is responsible for setting Nethercutt’s schedule while he’s in Eastern Washington and for coordinating community outreach projects throughout the congressional district.
Moving up:
Heidi Duckett has been promoted to relationship manager at Northwest Farm Credit Services. She is involved in the proactive marketing and portfolio management of the Leasing and Agribusiness Departments, headquartered in Spokane. Duckett joined Farm Credit Services in 1998 as a technical accountant in the finance division. She has more than 10 years of experience in the finance industry. Duckett received a bachelor’s degree in business administration-finance from Eastern Washington University.
Jack Dawson, associate professor in educational administration, has been appointed dean of the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene. He previously was center director. Dawson received a doctorate in education from the UI and has spent the last 19 years working for the university. In his previous role, Dawson was primarily responsible for the College of Education programs in Coeur d’Alene. Now, he will also oversee other disciplines offered at the facility, including environmental science, psychology and engineering.

Sharon Wilson, a registered nurse at Spokane Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, has been awarded Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) status by the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification Inc. Candidates for certification must have a minimum of 1,800 hours of perianesthesia nursing experience and successfully complete a written exam.
