Suspect Sought In Dog Shooting
Spokane County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the individual or individuals who shot a dog while it was standing only 40 feet from its owner.
The dog’s owners, Hap Thieschafer and Dewey Leistico, are offering a $500 reward for anyone with information about the shooting.
They told deputies the dog was shot at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on their property, which is a quarter-mile east of Elk Chattaroy Road and a quarter-mile north of Laurel Road.
The dog, named Didgery, was only 150 feet from his owner’s home. The dog died about three hours after being shot, the owners told deputies.
