Church Seeks Help With Samaritan’S Purse

The Spokane First Nazarene Church hopes to gather 10,000 shoeboxes full of gifts by Sunday, to be sent to children in Third World countries.

Last year the church sent 7,000 gift boxes out through an organization called Samaritan’s Purse, which is run by Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham.

Each box must be labeled for a boy or a girl, age 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. The box can be wrapped, but the lid must be removable.

The box should be stuffed with a combination of small toys, school supplies, hygiene items and candy.

Boxes can be dropped off at the church between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Sunday.
