Neighborhood Meetings

The Moran Prairie Neighborhood Association is holding its quarterly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Moran Prairie Grange Hall, 61st and Palouse Highway.

On the agenda is a discussion of proposed growth management comprehensive plans for the city and county. The neighborhood association is considering its position on proposed new land-use laws.

Also, neighbors will get a chance to review the proposed public purchase of conservation land on a former farm at 57th and Glenrose.

County officials have been negotiating a purchase with the Bauer family, which owns the property.

The Moran Prairie neighborhood treeplanting project will be reviewed, too.

The Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council will review a city proposal to ban parking on Freya Street from 11th to 37th avenues during the council meeting Tuesday.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Heights Elementary School.

The East Central Neighborhood Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the East Central Community Center.
