New faces:

Jeff Whiteside has been named director of food and beverage at Harbor Resort’s Schweitzer Mountain facility near Sandpoint.

Whiteside has 15 years of experience at ski resorts in Colorado, including stints as a manager for various food and beverage operations at Vail Resorts.

For the past year, he was general manager of restaurants and bars at Copper Mountain Resort.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University in 1985.

Robyn Stern has joined Kiemle & Hagood Co. as an administrative assistant in the brokerage department. She was previously a loan processor with Alpine Home Loans.

Moving up:

Joe Geiger has become head of the University of Idaho Department of Business, succeeding Randy Byers. Geiger has spent more than a decade teaching in the College of Business and Economics. In addition to his new administrative duties, he plans to continue teaching and conducting research.

Starting up:

Kiemle & Hagood Co. has formed a Housing Rehabilitation Division to carry out its role as program manager for the city of Spokane’s Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Program and the Roofs Only Repair and Replacement Program. The company assumed that role July 1. Division staff include:

Shannon Meagher joined Kiemle & Hagood as program director. She was previously the construction manager with CMA Project Management.

Lou Nesser was named construction manager. He will continue to be a property manager in addition to his Housing Rehabilitation Division activities.

Kim Floyd was promoted to administrative manager. She was previously an administrative assistant in the Commercial Property Management Division.

Jennifer Brown has joined the company as the loan coordinator. She was previously a loan processor with CMA Project Management.

Kendal Noller has joined Kiemle & Hagood as field agent. He previously worked for CMA Project Management as a field agent.

Josh Bowdish joined Kiemle & Hagood as construction administrator. He formerly was owner and manager of Alpine Home Loans.

Kudos:

Shirley Wiltshire has been chosen to receive Sterling Savings Bank’s 2000 Founders Award. The award is given to the person who best exemplifies Sterling’s ideals and commitment to excellence. Wiltshire joined Sterling in 1994 as a business development officer. She was promoted to branch manager in 1996 and vice president in 1999. She manages Sterling’s Hollywood Branch.

Sterling Savings Bank has presented 2000 Leadership Awards to the following employees:

Linda Bonner is an assistant vice president and North Bend branch manager. She joined Sterling as a branch manager in 1992 with more than 12 years of experience.

Dave Dresser is vice president and regional construction loan manager in Action Mortgage Co.’s Portland-area office. Earlier, he headed a large residential construction lending department for West One Bank in Portland and worked in all phases of residential lending at Washington Federal Savings and Loan.

Jeanne Conley is an assistant vice president and employment/employee relations manager. She joined Sterling in 1992 as an employment specialist. Conley earned a degree in industrial psychology from the University of Washington and recently received a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.

Ann Lynch is transportation and statement supervisor. She oversees transportation, distribution and image statements. Lynch, who joined Sterling in 1998 as a facilities and central supply assistant, was promoted to purchasing coordinator that same year.
