Forest Seeks Views On Two Projects
The Nez Perce National Forest this week announced opportunities for the public to comment on two proposed projects.
An environmental assessment is out for comment on proposed gold exploration near Elk City, Idaho. The exploration proposal includes a temporary road, a new bridge and gold sampling by drilling roughly 20 core holes and a 2,000-foot trench. The Clearwater Ranger District will hold a meeting from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Dec. 5 to discuss the status of the Meadow Face Stewardship Pilot Project to stabilize stream channels and improve access and recreation facilities.
