Missing Woman Found Dead In Roadside Ditch

A body found here has been identified as that of a woman missing for a week.

Tina Wallace was last seen alive Nov. 14, leaving the Chopping Block Tavern in Monroe. Her body was discovered Monday in a ditch by woman escorting children to a bus stop. The identity was confirmed Tuesday after an autopsy.

Wallace, 39, is the second woman in recent years to leave a Monroe tavern and not make it home. In June 1999, Cynthia Rearden vanished after leaving the Hay Loft Saloon. Her remains were found in February near Sultan.

Both deaths remain unsolved.
