Police Seek Carjacker
Spokane police have released an artist’s sketch of the man believed to have carjacked and cut a man and his granddaughter Nov. 16.
The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. while the driver and 10-year-old were at a red light downtown.
The suspect approached the car and asked for a ride north to Boone Street. He then climbed in back with the child and held a knife to her throat, police say. The driver, in his 60s, fought with the attacker. Both the girl and man were able to escape with minor cuts and the carjacker drove away, police say.
