Analysis

Counting its playoff game, Seattle won two of its last eight games of the 1999 season, both wins coming against the Chiefs. The Seahawks shut down the Chiefs’ running game both times and put the game in Elvis Grbac’s hands. He threw four interceptions. Now, Grbac seems to be throwing to his own receivers with more frequency this season and tight end Tony Gonzalez is one of the best in the business. Seattle has the NFL’s best record (12-5) on Monday Night Football of teams with a minimum of 10 appearances, but the Chiefs are a confident crew after winning in Denver last Sunday. Chiefs 27, Seahawks 20.
