Arsonist Torches Vacant Home

A fire in a vacant home Thursday morning was caused by arson, Spokane fire investigator Mike Zambryski said.

Fire crews were called to 1713 E. Pacific Ave. about 5:15 a.m. and saw flames coming from the home’s attic.

Zambryski said the fire was started in several locations, but declined to say what was used to fuel the blaze. The last tenant had left the house in August.
