Elected to 6th District seat in 1996 and 1998; easily beat Bernie Nelson in ‘98. Co-chairman of House Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and member of Appropriations Committee

Issues

Encourage economic development by lowering business taxes and easing business permit process. Supports death penalty and opposes abortion.

Finances

$57,645 as of Oct. 20; $25,000 was transferred on Sept. 20 to the House Republican Organizing Committee.
