Education

Bachelor of arts in government from Eastern Washington University, 1994.Washington state certified mediator, Fulcrum Institue Dispute Resolution Clinic in Spokane, 1996.

Political history

First elected to the House of Representatives in 1996. Serve as co-assistant majority leader; member of the state House higher education; economic development, housing and trade; and appropriations committees.

Issues

Spurring economic development in Spokane and Eastern Washington, particularly in the areas of high technology and health care.

Finances

As of Oct. 10, raised $31,649 and spent $21,659. He’s donated $16,000 to the State House Democratic Caucus, $500 to the Spokane County Democratic Party and $660 to the State Democratic Party.
