Dining For Ducks
Wildlife conservation
Even with the hunting seasons open, waterfowlers are taking time out this fall to organize and patronize Ducks Unlimited events to raise money for wetlands conservation.
“Everyone is welcome” to the Kootenai Valley chapter’s banquet and auction at the Boundary County Fairgrounds in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Nov. 10, said Dan Pennington, local organizer. This and other banquets usually include raffles for wildlife art and goods and services provided by area sportsmen and businesses.
Proceeds support DU’s wetlands and waterfowl habitat projects in the local states as well as in the critical breeding and wintering areas of the United States, Canada and Mexico.
