Halloween Activities

Fall festivals and Halloween parties are in full swing in North Idaho - here’s a list of activities.

Festivals

A festival to celebrate God’s kingdom will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Coeur d’Alene Faith Center, 1602 Appleway. The church will have games, a jumping castle, free food and candy and is open to children under 12.

More games, prizes and food will be featured at a fall festival at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. Fifth, Coeur d’Alene. The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday and a dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. Bring kids from preschool to fifth grade.

The North County Chapel will sponsor alternative activities to trick-or-treating at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday, children entering the fairgrounds will get tickets to play at about 40 game booths. Games, entertainment and food will be available. The event is free for children. Trick-or-treat

A haunted house open today and Tuesday from 5-10 p.m. is geared more to children, but all ages are welcome. Its sponsors ask for a donation to the Coeur d’Alene Food Bank. The house is at the northwest corner of Lancaster and U.S. Highway 95. Information: 762-9235 or 772-5711.

Mik-N-Mac’s will throw a Halloween Party on Tuesday. $1,000 will be given away as prizes for best costumes. DJ music will begin at 9 p.m. and judging will happen before midnight. Mik-N-Mac’s is at 406 N. Fourth St. in Coeur d’Alene. Information: 667-4858.

An annual trick-or-treating event will take place at the Silver Lake Mall, 200 Hanley Ave., Hayden. The business at the mall will give candy and treats to kids from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Information: 762-2112.

The Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association will host activities from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Downtown shopkeepers will have trick-or-treating from 4-6 p.m. To ensure everyone is safe the Lions Club will provide crosswalk safety. At Harvey’s, Third and Sherman, there will be a pumpkin art contest and a costume contest will be held in the Resort Plaza Shops from 4-5 p.m. In addition, the Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a kids carnival at 406 N. Fourth St. Information: 667-4040.

More goodies will be given out at the Prime Outlets in Post Falls from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Children of all ages can participate. To get there take Exit 2 off Interstate 90. Information: 773-4555.

Bonner Mall will host a trick-or-treating event on Tuesday. Children can collect candy and other goodies from the more than 30 shops. The Bonner Mall is at 3210 Highway 95 in Sandpoint. Information: 263-42722.

The Palouse Mall in Moscow will also have trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween. The mall is located at 1850 W. Pullman Road. All ages are welcome. Information: 882-8893.
