Alleged Flasher Arrested Near Store

From Staff Reports

A 44-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after he allegedly exposed himself as he stood outside a store at Wellesley and Market, yelling at women to look at him.

Duane Mathew Kungas was booked into jail on charges of lewd conduct, assault and possession of a controlled substance.

When Spokane police arrived at the scene, a citizen was holding Kungas on the ground. The witness told officers he tried to get Kungas to leave the area and Kungas hit him in the face.

Officers said Kungas was not wearing trousers or underwear and his clothing was found nearby. At the jail, officers said they found methamphetamine in his wallet.
