Look back: Reardan, Ritzville, Davenport and Selkirk made the playoffs but only Ritzville won a game before losing to eventual state champion DeSales in the second round.

Coach’s comment: Ritzville coach Mike Lynch: “We are experienced even though we will only have two players back in the same position as last year.”

Outlook: Springdale joins the big three of Davenport, Ritzville and Reardan as favorites for the playoff berths… . Republic is the darkhorse… . Davenport and Ritzville return 12 starters, ACH 13… . Six players made all-state last year but Davenport junior linebacker Clark Pauls is the only returnee… . Buy a season ticket - Davenport, Springdale, Reardan and Republic all play at Ritzville.

Four teams make the playoffs. Davenport has been in the playoffs seven straight years; Reardan made it eight times in the 90’s.

Selkirk had 18 players turn out a year after winning a tiebreaker to make the playoffs.

Springdale hasn’t been in the playoffs in 13 years; ACH has not had a winning record since 1994.
