Robber Holds Up Pizza Restaurant

Papa John’s Pizza at 2905 South Regal was robbed on Monday night.

A man walked into the restaurant around 11:30 p.m. and saw an employee counting money at the register, according to Spokane Police. The man went to the restroom, then left the restaurant.

Less than five minutes later, he walked back in and told the employee to give him the money he was just counting. The employee thought he was joking, but the man pulled his jacket back and showed a handgun in his waistband. He took some cash and fled.

The man was described as a white male between 19 and 23 years old, about 5-foot-10, thin, with straight red hair and a scruffy face.

A delivery truck driver returned to the store a few minutes later, saying the address he had been sent to didn’t exist. Police believe the robber might have placed the order to lure the driver away from the store.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
