One Dies In Crash

One person died in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 195 a few miles south of Colfax Monday night.

Patrick Gleason, 48, of Boise, was driving a 2000 Ford Contour going north. Christopher Cole, whose age was unavailable, was driving south in his 1998 Dodge pickup truck. At about 5:10 p.m., Gleason’s car collided with Cole’s truck in the southbound lane.

Gleason died at the scene of massive head, chest and neck injuries, the Whitman County coroner said. Cole, a resident of Colton, was taken to Pullman Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The Washington State Patrol was investigating the collision.
